Dear IMBoard Members
As you know that I have been keeping a close watch on Leechers (people who donot reply to any post for a long time), and warning them and eventually banning them from IMB. This step is necessary to make sure that each and every member who posts a thread here gets his due recognition from members of IMB.
For this purpose, I would be needing a Few Sentinels for IMB to help me in this process.
So what exactly are sentinels ?
Most of u must have seen Matrix and now u can recall what are Sentinels. They are the Guards/Police men of matrix. So will be you, if selected by Me and approved by Admin.
What would a Sentinel Do ?
The purpose of sentinels is to assist me in keeping the IMB community free of Leechers. If approved by me, MSD and Admin, You will get a TAG of SENTINEL to your ID :thumbsup:, and you would be an effective sentinel. You would warn leechers through Private messaging them to get their accounts active and increase their POST ratio. Addtionally you will get to monitor the activities of the members who you have warned, to see if they have improved or not. If this does nt make them improve in 3 days, You will send them ultimate warning for 1 more day, before informing me so that I can ban them.
How to decide who is a leecher ??
For this, You will have to see who are the currently active members on the main page here at http://www.masala4india.com/online.php. You can then open individual members profile and see if they have a post ratio of MORE THAN 0.6 per day (members who have recently joined in last 5 days are EXEMPTED from this). If not, He is all yours, warn him. And keep a watch on him. In simple words, if you see a member who has joined IMB for long time but does not reply, Go get him Sentinel !!
What should a Warning message have ?
ofcourse we want leechers to reply, and not leave IMB, unless banned. So the first warning message has to be bit polite, explaining them what they need to do to prevent getting banned !! If this does not work, 2nd warning wil ofcourse be hard and tough.
I will send a template of warning to each sentinel, which he can use here
What more do u get if you become a Sentinel ?
Well first thing first, You get a Tag of SENTINEL to your Id, which makes you different from all other members !! :Yahoo:, Then, if a sentinel's work is seen as very promising, He can get additional rights also (I will tell this later). This is because We here value your service to IMB !
So, Who wants to be IMB sentinel ??? Currently, I will require 3 members to choose from. My decision on sentinel issue will be final. This is a first of its kind of IDEA for any forum and your chance to grab it:lala:
