View Full Version : Understand the IMB Reputation System.

Hellow Fellow IMB Members

Often the Reputation system has an issue of concern amoungst few IMB members, be it a newbie or a Senior member. As a Co-Administrator of IMB now, I would like to explain to you, how the IMB reputation works.:hi:


Rule 1.

For every 100 points of Reps you have, you can add 1 point of reputation to another member.


Rule2.

For every 20 posts you post at MB, you can add 1 point of reputation to another member.So as you can understand, the more you post, the more the Rep power you get.

Examples:

So, if you have 2500 rep points with you and have posted 300 posts at IMB, your rep power would be:

2500/100 + 300/20 = 40 Points !

If you have 5000 rep points and posted 1200 posts, your rep power would be:

5000/100 + 1200/20 = 110 points !

So given the fact that you know your rep points and the number of posts you have posted, you can calculate your own reputation power or REP-POWER easily ! :lala:

Other queries related to Rep system :

1. Min number of post needed for a member to be able to add REPS to other member = 20



2. Maximum number of users you can add REPS to in 1 day (often called as 24-Hr Limit) = 10



3. How many different users must you give reputation to before you can hit the same person again? (Often called a Spreading Problem)= 5

4. Fame Level 4 - 2500:Yahoo:

5. Fame Level 5 - 5000:lala:

6. Fame Level 6 - 7500:applause:

7. Fame Level 7 - 10000:applause::applause:

8. Fame Beyond Sky - 15000:applause::applause::applause:

As the number of members crosing Fame level 6 and 7 increase, the Fame Levels will be re-defined accordingly !
